I have so little time to blog and I feel so bad about that. Thinking about making scheduled time for blogging every week. Maybe that will get me to post more.
Anyways, today is the BIG day. It’s the wedding of Jessica and Jacob. I am super excited. Last night I stayed up late getting everything ready. Both cameras are packed with all the batteries charged up, memory cards formatted, flash batteries ready, lenses are clean, etc. I am so happy that my husband, aka second shooter, is coming along for the ride. He will be helping me get through this and shooting mostly candids. Here is a little more information on our equipment that we are using for this wedding.
Jovana will be shooting with Canon 5D Mark II. I got to play with this baby and I fell in love. It was love at first sight. I do want to wait for Mark III release before I pull the plug and buy one of these candies. As far as lenses go, I will mostly be using Canon 24mm 1.4 L prime, Canon 50mm 1.4 and Canon 70-200mm 2.8 IS. I also have 580 EX II ready to go if needed but would prefer to shoot all using natural light which I think with couple of primes and a 2.8 zoom shouldn’t be a problem. What I like about Mark II is the ability to crank up that ISO if needed without loosing quality of the photo.
Bojan, my husband aka second shooter, will be using my Canon 60D with which I normally shoot. He will be using couple of lenses with this crop sensor camera. We’ll share 24mm prime that I mentioned above but for the most part he will be using Canon 24-70mm 2.8 L lens. He will also carry Sigma 610 super flash which I just purchased last week for myself. I like it so far and as I said, my preference is always natural light and only pull out the flash as last resort.
Like always, it’s better to end the post with the picture so here is Kristina and her cousin Luka playing in Grandma’s backyard with water, cars, etc.
